Conservative Party Leadership Election 2019

The 2019 Conservative Party leadership election was formerly triggered on Friday 7th June 2019 by the resignation of Theresa May.

As the Conservative Party is in government, the newly elected leader will become Prime Minister.

Tory MPs will whittle down the wide field of candidates though a series of ballots. The final two candidates will then go head to head in a postal ballot of party members.
