Conservative Target Seats

The Conservatives won 318 seats in 2017 (including the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, in Buckingham). This is eight seats short of an overall majority. A swing of just 0.44 percent from the Labour Party would capture these eight seats and put the Conservatives on the required 326 seats with a bare majority of two. This would make Ashfield, with a 0.88 percent majority for Gloria De Piero, the seat to aim for. If the party continues to make progress in Scotland, they could unseat the SNP's Pete Wishart in Perth and North Perthshire and lower their required swing from Labour to a tiny 0.24 percent.
